How to Cut uPVC Mullions with Double Head Cutting Saw

When the mullion cutting saw is not available, the mullion profile can also be cut with double head cutting saw that adopted the mullion profile stop. As we know that when making uPVC windows and doors, it is necessary to connect the mullion and the frame. There are two connection methods here, one is the welding method, and the other is using the mullion connector connection method.
When using the welding method, it is necessary to use a V notch cutting saw and a mullion profile cutting saw, and weld the mullion and frame into a whole with uPVC window welding machines. When using a mullion connector connection, the end face of the mullion needs to be machined with an end milling machine.

1. CALCULATE THE FIRST CUTTING LENGTH OF THE MULLION

2. MULLION STOP POSITIONING

Move the mullion stop of the double head cutting saws to the right so that the plane of the stop aligns with the apex of the first profile cut and lock it.

3. TURN THE MULLION OVER 180 DEGREES

Turn the mullion over 180 degrees so that the apex of the mullion rests against the mullion stop.

4. SECOND CUTTING

Clamp the mullion profile and press the run button for the second cut.
